Inspects relief camps, asks for ensuring adequate services Assures extra classes to enable students face exams successfully

JAMMU, JANUARY 24 (KNO) : Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar, and today visited cross firing affected border village Zora to take stock of the situation there. The Minister was accompanied by Legislators, Yawar Dilawar Mir, Ajaz Ahmed Mir and Yasir Reshi during his visit. The Minister visited Chakroi Camp established by the administration to accommodate the people affected due to border shelling. He inspected the facilities being extended to the people there and asked the concerned to make sure that these people do not suffer for want of necessary amenities. He gave instructions to the concerned agencies to ensure adequate supply of ration, LPG and other essential commodities to the affected people. Interacting with the affected people, the Minister assured them that necessary arrangements would be put in place in the relief camps for the students till they return to their homes besides these children would also be provided extra classes so that their studies are not affected and they face their exams successfully. The Minister assured the people living in the relief camps that it is the prime concern of the Government to provide every facility to them. The Minister also visited another relief camp established at ITI College R S Pura and enquired about the facilities being provided to the affected people there. Superintending Engineer, PWD, SDPO, RS Pura, SDM, R.S. Pura, Tehsildar R.S. Pura, besides senior functionaries of R S Pura, Suchetgarh accompanied the Minister.(KNO)
